This is a proud day for me. I am wearing a pair of pants I haven't been able to fit in since...2010? I remember the last time I wore them was during my brief stint as a teller at Community Bank in Ramstein, Germany. We moved to Boston in May 2010 when I was pregnant with Tony, and I haven't even attempted to wear these pants since then. I was going through my closet this morning thinking, "what to wear, what to wear," and I came across these sort-of Fall pants. What the heck. Worst that happens is I can't squeeze my postpartum hips and butt into a cute outfit, and I'll just exercise that much harder next week. (Stop laughing at me). Miracle of miracles, they fit! Comfortably! I was so excited to put this outfit on, I didn't even realize that Alessandra was taking a very good, very long nap, and it would be beyond foolish to wake her up for church. So I sent the boys ahead to the 11am Mass, and I stayed home with principessa. She and I ended up going to the evening Mass today, and I'm glad we did. Baby girl started getting a little fussy before the homily, so she and I hung out in the narthex for a little while. We came across another mother with a baby girl, and she and I chatted a bit, and ended up exchanging numbers after Mass. It's always nice to meet other young moms; despite having moved to Shreveport almost two years ago, I don't have a lot of friends in the area. It can get lonely at times being home all day with two small children and not a lot of adult interaction. Anyway! Regretfully, I was unable to get a picture of Alessandra in her pretty dress. Another time, I suppose.
