What We Wore Sunday

This morning started out in a very calm, gentle matter. I know what you're thinking. "Calm? At Marisa's house? When does disaster strike?" Well, I can assure you disaster DID strike, but at least not until after Mass. We were able to make it out the door today without any tantrums, minus Alessandra's deep-seated hatred for her car seat. Tony was well-behaved and in fine toddler spirits, and we actually made it out the door in time. (Trust me, that NEVER happens. Not with little kids in tow). Here are our outfits for the day:

 On Alessandra:
Darling little French outfit, given by Ms. Arlene Klavins (my high school orchestra director)

On Marisa:
Dress: Old Navy, purchased about 8 years ago
Bracelets: Express
Watch: Dolce&Gabbana (birthday gift many years ago from my parents)
Shoes: Target

The afore-mentioned disaster? We stopped at Panera on the way home from church, which is kind of a rare treat for us. (We're on a strict budget this summer, which generally =no eating out). We got home, fed Tony, and I nursed Alessandra and changed her diaper while Will got Tony ready for his nap. When I came downstairs, I discovered that our very naughty dog had somehow managed to pull the Panera bag off our kitchen table, and he devoured my Chicken Avocado Cobb salad. I was so angry and upset, I was almost in tears. First of all, I was craving that salad like mad. Second of all, this ridiculous animal of mine doesn't even LIKE salad. I'm convinced he just wanted the chicken. Murphy has been banished to his kennel, and Will drove off to Panera to pick up another salad for me, since he had some extra cash. (My hero!!).

    1. Thanks, Rosie!! Yes, I was NOT happy. This dog is a notorious food stealer. A few years ago, he found a way to climb up on our dining room table, and ever since then we've had to get pretty creative with keeping food away from him.

    1. I'm not surprised!!! Here's the thing-right before Will brought Tony upstairs, I specifically asked, "is my lunch out of harm's way?" Will said yes, he moved it out of the way, etc. Clearly my husband is no match for the devious beagle.
