Hello? Anyone out there?

So I don't have a lot of followers, and I rarely (if ever) get comments on my posts. That's okay, as I never started this blog with the intention of having a huge following, i.e Kelle Hampton style. I'm wondering if it's because I don't have a huge presence in the online community, or if people can only read so much about recipes, or if there just isn't a general interest. In any case, I'm interested in doing a "blogspansion," if you will. I'm thinking of including more of our daily life instead of JUST recipes (although I will still post quite a few of those), because I have a lot going on in my life right now, as opposed to when I started this blog a few years ago. Back then, Will and I were married and living in Europe, so we did a fair amount of traveling when he was home. However, he was either deployed or at an Army school or crazy busy with work most of the time (as was I), so blogging about anything other than food seemed kind of pointless. Now our lives have drastically changed. We've moved twice-transatlantic and cross country-in the past 2 1/2 years. We have a toddler and another baby on the way. Will took a sort-of leave of absence from the Army to go back to school full time (he will join again as an officer when he completes his degree in 2013), and I've become much more interested in living on a budget, green living, kinda/sorta/maybe attachment parenting, our Catholic faith, etc. I feel like I'm not doing myself or my blog justice when I only post recipes with a brief description of our week, hence the new "7 Quick Takes" concept. Which of course I forgot to do this past Friday. So that's it in a nutshell...I'm thinking of expanding my blog to suit my life at the moment, instead of just remaining in the same place (blog-wise, anyway) that I was in 2008. I'm not sure if this would be well-received or not. Frankly, I'm not even sure I have enough of a following to really care. Thoughts? Anyone? In the meantime, I shall leave you this picture. Because at the end of the day, family is everything that matters.(My sister in-law took this at a pumpkin patch in Massachusetts last year, shortly after my surgery).

  3. Don't *get* discouraged. You've been a lot of places that many people, like myself, are envious of. I enjoying reading about travels as it helps piqué my interest on where I may want to go :)
